Brian McIntyre has been playing guitar for 26 years. Along with his extensive credentials, Brian is one of the most genuine, down to earth teachers one can come across. He has studied with Peter Harris, Greg Stone, Toni Zorzi and Silvio Simone. Brian is alsBrian McIntyreo a graduate of Humber College where he majored in Performance and Compositon. Brian’s musical strengths lie in Rock, Blues and Folk. He is fluent in both fingerstyle and flat picking and enjoys teaching the finer points of technique.

In addition, Brian also teaches theory up to grade 4 conservatory level, beginner bass guitar and banjo. Along with being a teacher for the past ten years, Brian also has a strong background in performance. He has played in an Italian wedding band, acoustic duos, a classic rock band and an original metal band – Casual Damage – with whom he recorded the c.d. “Beyond Repair”. Brian has also performed on television and radio. In his lessons, Brian stresses the importanceBrian McIntyre Vintage Picture of the “fun” aspect of the guitar. This is done by letting the student’s interests dictate what is covered in the lessons. This approach enhances the students enjoyment of the lessons and makes practice much more enjoyable rather than being a chore.
